Hi. It's Deborah O'Brien. I have an interesting story to tell.
When I was a child I often felt different from my six siblings and other people. I noticed that my way of thinking was different. I kept it to myself and learned to be an observer.
Just a few weeks after my seventeenth birthday a boy whom I felt a very deep soul connection with since middle school took his own life. He was unique and different like me. We bonded that way. When he died it was like something inside me cracked open. My heart was so hurt all of my life with that loss. I wrote about it in an article that was published in the Reiki News Magazine in Winter of 2017 - "Reiki Heals a Broken Heart"
In early 1994 just after my divorce and starting over with three little girls I began to explore different ways of thinking. I signed up for Landmark Forum, the Advanced Course, and Communication course. Landmark taught me some important ways to view the world. One of the most significant things that I learned was in the pie sections of knowledge there are the things I know that I know, and there are the things that I know I don't know, and then there are the things that I don't know I don't know. That was very interesting to me! At this time I also began learning and practicing Usui Reiki. I wrote an article that was published in Reiki News Magazine in Spring of 2017- "How Reiki Guided My Life".
In 2004 I was working for a fractional ownership real estate developer where I met a woman who told me about a meditation practice that she was teaching called Ishaya Ascension Meditation. They had a monestary in Lincoln City at an old church. Soon thereafter my mother Alice Turnina came to visit me. She took me to lunch at the cafe and bookstore owned and operated by the Ishayas. I asked the waiter about the mediation training and I was told there was a course that weekend and I signed up!
The mediation consists of spheres of four attitudes based in Praise, Gratitude, Love, and Compassion. The first attitude was Praise for my life and the moment I introduced the attitude my mind went to a place I'd never been before! It was a remarkable experience and I was delighted how it made me feel. As I continued to use the meditation I received new attitudes until I had 28. Many of them are Sanskrit words. I was hosting their teaching events and retreates and was considering becoming a teacher but it never happened. The benefits of the practice are exceptional clarity of mind and stability in managing life changes. The practice automatically aligns the left and right brain hemispheres. I still use it to this day.
I had been selling real estate on the Oregon coast for sixteen years and in 2006 my business failed. I just couldn't make a sale. And I wasn't the only one. That was the start of the recession that hit the vacation homes market before it hurt others. My girls had grown and gone out into the world to start their own lives. I was sitting in my living room asking God, "What do I do now?: I had a reply as an intuitive message to go out to the Crystal Wizard in Gleneden Beach to ask the oracle reader what to do. So when I did she told me "your guides are not telling you what's coming, they are telling you a way to be. Allow."
I went home to contemplate that message when I looked at my email I saw a note with a video attached of Her Holiness Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi who is the first female Jagatguru of the Vedic Hindu Tradition in over 2700 years. She was full of light! Her message was of love and hope. I felt completely drawn to her. The man who sent the video was really nice and we talked on the phone and met for dinner. He asked me to go with him to Vail, Colorado to spend a week at a seminar with Her Holiness Sai Maa. I told him I couldn't because I didn't have the money. He then offered to pay for the whole thing! I first started to say no, then I remembered "allow". I decided that YES! I would go with him. We had a very powerful connection right from the start and were both excited to go together.
The week with Sai Maa was beyond anything I had ever thought existed! Deeksha for brain illumination, Sanskrit chanting, Shiva, and so much more. It was training camp for Lightworkers. Dave and I stayed together and learned so much more. We learned about the Mayan Calendar of consciousness shift of the ages that happens only every 26,000 years, we learned about sacred geometry, energy healing, flower of life, and indigenous wisdom teachings of the Incan tribe. We moved in together in West Salem and I began teaching and practicing Reiki. I also began a new career as a certified nurse aide. I was reading the Reiki News Magazine when I came across a large print photo of Stonehenge with the word Reiki across it. I was immediately drawn to make it happen to go to Glastonbury, UK and take a new Usui Master/ART Reiki training with William Rand. The whole trip was magical! Glastonbury felt surreal in that I was feeling like I was in a time warp of rememberence at Tor Hill and the Chalice Well Gardens. The attunement was delivered in the center of Stonehenge and I felt it was transformative and informative in ways I can't explain. It was like it opened pathways to knowledge that was downloaded directly to my brain. The stuff I didn't know I didn't know.
Dave and I had given one another all we had in our shared spiritual awakening journey in those three years we lived together before I decided to move to the Portland area to share reiki as a volunteer for NW Reiki Association at chemo clinics. I signed up for a course in nutrition wisdom and life style practices for health and life improvement with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. Since it was an online course with an Ipod full of lectures I was able to do it in my own time while beginning my health coaching practice with Reiki trainings and sessions I worked as a home care worker for an elderly couple.
In spring of 2012 I took my little dog, Foxy for a coastal vist to Yachats. I was sitting in a breakfast cafe at a table with another woman and we began talking about energy work. She told me that she did something called 'The Emotion Code". I was intrigued and she invited me to experience a session in her home in Seal Rock. It was remarkable. You can use kinesiology to intuitively interact with the human energy body to identify trapped energies of emotions! You then can release them with magnetic swipes along the governing meridian. I bought the book and began using the practices. it has been a life changer. It turns out that I had an inherited heart wall of emotional energies. It was blocking my ability to feel expressions of love.
Soon thereafter I went to a meetup gathering for The Way of The Heart. This practice uses kinesiology and sacred geometry with spin codes at points on the body to change a pattern of life. It's like hitting a reset button for the alchemy of your life experiences. They taught me that we all have an electo-magnetic field of information that holds all of the thoughts, beliefs, memories, traumas, perceptions, dogmas, contracts, vows, and other energies. There are ancestral patterns, too. The practice is guided by the intuitive wisdom of the human energy system through use of kinesiology aka muscle testing. Your body has it's own intelligence. Reference the book by Dr. Bruce Lipton, "The Biology of Belief".
Since both of these practices use muscle testing to intutively identify intelligent energies it really confirms the wisdom that Reiki energies have their own intelligence and that our bodies hold the same intelligence as those energies.
On July 4th 2014 I spent the night at my fathers apartment in Vancouver, Washington to watch the fireworks. While I was there, I spoke with the woman next door who told me she had The Body Code. I was excited because I had wanted to buy it but I couldn't afford it. She let me borrow her manual to copy it. It was by the same doctor, Dr. Bradley Nelson, who developed The Emotion Code. It was based in intuitive kinesiology practices to identify the energies and then release with swipes of a magnet along the governing meridian. There was so much to explore and use with this! The human energy system is the new frontier in modern medicine. It's holistic - meaning it heals moods, mental states, and physical symptoms, too.
I started using the practice on myself and my clients with excellent results! It was always so easily intuitively guided. I have felt that Jesus was with me during my sessions ever since I began using Reiki and any intuitive practices. When I went to Seattle for my Karuna Reiki training in 2010 I had an experience in a meditation where I was gifted a beautiful sacred Divine Feminine symbol. After I returned from the meditation vision with the Katra symbol I opened my eyes to see Holy Mother standing in front of me. The Katra symbol represents the compassionate wisdom and kindness of Holy Mother Isis.
My father, Pat O'Brien, understood the alchemy practices. When I showed the books to him he was supportive and encouraging. He's an old soul. I love and miss my father. He seemed to understand me better than anyone else.
In 2014 stayed with my mother, Alice, who had fallen and broken her knee cap which required surgery. I gave her Reiki and she loved it. She asked me to train her so I did. She and I had conflicts about God when I was younger because she was immersed in the Catholic version of God since childhood. I wrote an article about her and I with Reiki that was published in Reiki News Magazine in Winter 2018, the winter after her passing. It is titled "A Bridge of Love With Reiki". I miss my mother. She was aware on some level of our differences and knew my unique spiritual awareness and she helped me.
To release energies of obscuration brings us closer to know our true nature as we access more of our personal soul history from the Akashic Files. Akashic Records hold information from all of our past lives. Self knowledge is self empowerment. Personally, I am an old, old, old, soul! I was told that by a Columbian Shaman who says my soul has five planetary origins. He said he hasn't come across anyone else in his years of providing readings who has that many. The interesting thing about it was that the whole time he was doing my reading I was seeing him as an old woman who was short and plump. She was very kind and I interacted with her. He held space for her to communicate with me. In the end she hugged and whispered thank you in my ear.
As I continue to idenify and release the energies that obscure my awareness of authentic self I have discovered some interesting facts about my lineage. My family's ancestry has a powerful Druid wisdom history. It comes through as Melchezidek from my father. Melchezidek is Druid wisdom of alchemy practices. Melchezidek were those wisdom teachers who taught Master Yeshua to prepare him for his final sacrifice in the preparation for sacred crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension.
