Vajra Buddha Family Wisdom Represented by Mandarava
Mandarava was a princess who lived in Nepal. She met Padmasambhava when she was a teen and spent many years with him learning tantra and Dzogchen.
Her father, the king, found them together and punished them both by locking her in a cell and burning Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava created a water wheel to put out the flames and stood there unharmed. When the king and others saw this they began to worship him.
Mandarava took in the young girl Shakya Devi and raised her as a daughter teaching her the Buddhist Wisdom tantras and Dzogchen.
