Reiki, a Japanese word that translates to Rei = Spiritual wisdom and Ki = Universal Life Force Energy, meaning it's universally and simultaneously everywhere.
It is an energy healing art that was activated in Mikao Usui while he was on a 21 day meditation fast on a mountain known as Kuramayama, Japan in March of 1922. He went on to open clinics in Japan and teach his methods passing this amazing energy healing on to others so in our current time - almost 100 years later - it has become widespread in it's use all over the world. It is a constant source of loving energy that evolves to provide increased access to the unlimited potential of release of suffering, deep inner peace, and clarity of wisdom it possesses. Reiki evolves and improves each time it is used to provide deeper connection to the spiritual aspect of each individual as they develop rapport and trust in it's many uses.
Reiki comes from the source of all creation so has it's own wisdom and intelligence as you allow it to flow through and from you - only when you invite it - Reiki always respects human free will. The practitioner develops a relationship of trust in the wisdom of intuitive guidance that becomes more apparent when they use Reiki energy. This enhances the heart's knowing - wisdom - that is useful in all life circumstances.
Sessions
A full session is a simple practice that can be done while seated in a chair or lying on a massage table fully dressed and comfortable with pillows and blankets. Reiki provides a deeply relaxing peaceful effect for healing. The energy is guided through the hands of the practitioner while gently touching or hovering over the energy centers of the body and the affected areas in need of treatment.
Reiki In Hospitals and Hospice
Reiki has become more common in use in hospitals around the world as it helps to prepare and enhance the outcomes of surgeries of all kinds. Harvard has completed a case study where the benefits of Reiki have become more clearly proven. Reiki is also used in hospice where people who are ready to transition are comforted with the loving presence of the Divine.
Reiki As A Way Of Being

Reiki Enhances Other Types of Treatments
Many people in health care recognize the unlimited value of this simple practice to enhance the quality of their work. Nurses, massage therapists, chiropractors, MDs, surgeons, dentists, scientists, business owners, school teachers, veterinarians, botanists, actors, singers, artists, dancers and protectors of land have become familiar with the many uses of Reiki energy to improve the outcome in all their endeavors for the highest good to be achieved for all concerned.
Deborah volunteered with a local non-profit, the NW Reiki Association, where member volunteers share Reiki with cancer patients in chemo clinics in Portland, Oregon. Mini-sessions are given to patients as they receive their chemo drips. Reiki works to diminish the side effects from the radiation treatment while enhancing the benefits.
Usui Reiki
Traditionally there have been 3 levels in Usui Reiki, first, second, and Master. Peter and Deborah are both trained and skilled in working with Usui Reiki all levels and have been teachers of Holy Fire III Usui Reiki since 2016. In April 2022 we were gifted with Wisdom Dakini. We now teach Usui Wisdom Reiki in a new way with spark activations for Usui Wisdom Reiki to accelerate development of intuitive wisdom.
Holy Fire® Reiki
Holy Fire® Reiki is a new style of Reiki that was evolved from use of Usui Reiki and Karuna® Reiki over many years from the man who established the International Center for Reiki Training, reiki.org, William Lee Rand. He has been Deborah's main Reiki instructor for many years since 2010 until current. Colleen Benelli of Reiki Lifestyle also has been a great influence in our Reiki practices.
Holy Fire® came to William in January 2014 when he was preparing to give an Usui Reiki Master training to a group of twenty five at his retreat on Maui. The night before the first day of training his spiritual guide who channeled Jesus messages to him told him that he would give the attunements and teach the class differently. He was given instructions on how to proceed. It was a complete leap of faith to do this because it didn't require William to physically interact with his students at all for the "attunements" which in Holy Fire® Reiki are now known as "ignitions". There were a series of four that were given in three days. The part of the energy body that was activated was different as well. The traditional Usui attunements are given in the level of the soul - that's where all the mixed parts of us made of energy bits of intelligence made up of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions - are processing our life experiences and recording our beliefs based on perspective and interpretation. There are past life and ancestral influences there, too.
The new ignitions of Holy Fire® are given on the level of the spirit body. That is the pure direct connection with the Source of Life. That connection gives access to on-going healing effect as it releases the patterns that interfer with the heart's wisdom truth.
The levels one and two Usui Holy Fire® Reiki are given with the Usui Reiki symbols "placed" in the spirit body as an activation for their use.
Holy Fire® Reiki has continued to evolve for William and Colleen at the International Center for Reiki Training. There is now Holy Fire® III and Peace Reiki. Colleen and three other women have given us Animal Reiki. All of this is from Usui Reiki for this lineage.
Peter and Deborah were professional members of the International Center for Reiki Training from January 2016 - April 2022. That's when Wisdom Dakinis became our obvious next offerings. So we parted ways with ICRT in terms of their teachings as being part of our offerings here. We are so delighted and honored by our Wisdom Dakinis and Padmasambhava. We have spent the past couple of years becoming better aligned with this new style of teaching.

Animal Reiki
Animal Reiki came to Colleen Benelli, Sioux Strong, Robyn Benelli, and Pam Allen-Leblanc throughout the time of the pandemic. It was completed and ready to share in teachings by early 2021. The ICRT developed the manuals for the trainings to be shared. Deborah took the training for Animal Reiki 1 & 2 and the Animal Reiki Master training both together in October 2021 and then shared it with Peter.
We just love Animal Reiki! The beautiful Tree of Life symbol, the lovely invocations, the Animal Reiki crystal grid, and the deep healing it provides for pets and their caretakers. It's very deeply healing for humans to connect with providing healing for animals and trees. Animals of all kinds benefit from Animal Reiki. We learn so much about ourselves as humans when we listen to the animals. With the current climate crisis their wisdom is available to guide us. The spirit of nature and the animals comes through in this teaching. We found this teaching to be very deeply enriching for us both.

We share a sacred symbol known as Katra to provide a Spark in the spirit body for each of the five symbols. These symbols welcome in these very special beings who help us to develop our intuitive wisdom. We provide the symbols and spark activations for the student to become aligned to Dakini Buddha family wisdom teachings when they use the practices we teach to engage with them.
Usui Goddess Reiki is another evolved form of Usui Holy Fire® III Reiki; significantly, the Divine Feminine is accessed and delivered with the Divine Feminine symbol Katra Spark to activate the spirit body for guidance with use of spiritual energy therapies to be more effective. Usui Goddess Reiki accelerates intuitive development of maternal practical wisdom from Divine Beings known as Dakinis.
Traditional Usui Reiki, excellent from its inception 100 years ago, continues to evolve and will be shown to be unique for each person who dedicates themselves to the practices. When Mikao Usui Sensei committed to his 21-day mediation fast on Mt Kurama, he surrendered his very life, not knowing he would receive the sacred gift of spiritual enrichment for healing human suffering. The gift of spiritual guided conscious energy has the capacity to evolve human consciousness to enlightened ways of living in communities of peace and prosperity.
As seasoned practitioners and instructors we recognize how initiations to Usui Reiki and its symbols have changed. Students directly experience intelligent and compassionate healing energies activated in their spirit body--the repository of the purest light energies available to humans. The spirit body is the direct link to the pure essence of unconditional love, the compassionate wisdom of Source Consciousness. Usui activations initially took place on the level of the soul, where mixed energies could hinder and conflict with the pure essence of Reiki energies. In Usui Goddess Reiki the Spark activates in the spirit body and triggers progressive healing. Traumas and distortions gently release over time. Relationships improve as you like yourself more. Everything in life gets easier. Ultimately, this Reiki provides inner peace, unconditional nurturing love, wisdom, and enhanced intuition to know the best decisions for your life. The Divine Love releases stress and pain, to improve conditions of disease in the body and mind for the practitioner and for those whom they share it with.
Students build trust in their spirit guides and Reiki’s value as their intuitive awareness awakens use of daily practices. The more frequently a practitioner engages with their guides the more powerfully intuitive wisdom develops.
The chakra chart complements intuition. It reminds us of location for the seven main chakras that govern aspects of healthy expression in the body, mind, and emotions. Use Byosen scanning – a Japanese intuitive Reiki technique – for sensitized guidance through the palm chakras to identify places in the body that need Reiki energy.
Symbols are easy to use. Once activated (Sparked) you are ready to use them effectively with just your intention to bring their healing presence into a space, into your hands before a session, and to send to someone from a distance. Wisdom Dakini

Peter and Deborah have become intimate with the eighth century Buddhist Masters, including Padmasambhava, Yeshe Tsogyal, Tashi Chyidren, Mandarova, Sakya Devi, and others. They have guided us to develop this special gift of feminine wisdom to be shared with others.
Peter wrote a book about the adventures of Yeshe Tsogyal titled "Yeshe". This book is rich with spiritual wisdom, compassionate service, and heart-centered ways to use magic and miracles.
